Charlie PomPom is a small, independent brand run by Saskia Wallace, trading as Charlie PomPom. This page explains what personal information we collect, why, and what we do with it. We keep it to the minimum we need, and we never sell it.
If you have any questions, email us at hello@charliepompom.com
What we collect and why
When you place an order
We collect your name, email address, delivery address and order details (including any letter or PomPom you choose for a personalised tee). We use this to make, send and support your order. Payments are handled securely by our payment providers, so we never see or store your full card details.
When you join our mailing list
We collect your email address and your consent to hear from us. We use it to send our free monthly creative prompt, news about the mail club and occasional updates on new products. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email.
When you get in touch
If you email us or message us on Instagram, we keep the conversation so we can reply and help.
When you visit our website
Our website uses cookies to make it work properly and to understand, in general terms, how people use it. You can choose which non-essential cookies to accept when you first visit.
Grown-ups only
Our products are for children, but our website, shop and mailing list are for grown-ups. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children. If we ever invite families to share children’s artwork, we’ll only do so with a parent or carer’s clear permission, and we’ll explain exactly how it will be used first.
Who we share it with
We only share your information with trusted services that help us run Charlie PomPom, and only what they need:
Squarespace: our website and shop
Our payment providers: to take payments securely
Inkthreadable: to print and post our T-shirts
Gelato: to print and post our posters
Royal Mail: to deliver your order
Mailerlite: to send our emails
Some of these services may store data outside the UK. Where they do, they use legal safeguards to protect it.
Our legal reasons for using your information
To fulfil your order: we need it to complete our contract with you.
To send you emails: you’ve given us your consent.
To keep business records: we’re required to by law (for example, for tax).
To keep our website running well: it’s in our legitimate interests, in ways you’d reasonably expect.
How long we keep it
Order records: six years, as required for tax purposes.
Mailing list: until you unsubscribe.
Messages: for as long as we need to help you, and no longer than two years.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
show you the information we hold about you
correct anything that’s wrong
delete your information (unless we have to keep it by law)
stop using your information for emails, or object to how we use it
Just email hello@charliepompom.com and we’ll reply within one month. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
If we make changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
